This project was undertaken to divert utilities in advance of the North Docklands Sewerage Contract

Key Elements

  • Design and implementation of extenstive traffic management in the heart of Dublin City including road closures, shuttle systems and footpath closures
  • Excavation of slit trenches to identify routes for service diversions
  • Excavation on Sherriff's Street to construct a 110KV joint bay while the cable remained live, including provision of temporary works for support of both the cable and the carriageway
  • Installation of sheet piling adjacent to live traffic to facilitate the construction of the joint bay
  • Provision of ducting to divert 10. ESB LV and MV cables and 2 no. Virgin Media Cables
  • Diversion of an existing watermain
  • Investigation works to identify and repair existing leaks on 2 no. 500mm rising mains, works undertaken 0.8m from LUAS swept path under the Veolia permit system
